Realtime Notes is a series of poems written in rapid response to current events, both personal and political. The project ran from 17 August 2017 to 21 January 2021, spanning over 2,000 poems. It was conceived as a way to respond to fast-moving times by challenging one of the last remaining conventions in poetry: the idea that it should always take time, both to write and read.
